Although we provide our club's Breeder list, we urge you to contact the Havanese Club of America's Breeder Directory and also urge you to verify that the parents of your puppy have passed all required health testing. These can be verified on www.offa.org.

Please  make sure the parents of your prospective puppy have been health tested by doing your homework and verifying all health tests have been done and that the parents have passed these tests.

The following tests are required for CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) :

• BAER-hearing,
  

• CERF-eyes (yearly until the age of 7),
  

• OFA Patellas,
  

• OFA Hips
  

Dogs receive CHIC numbers regardless of whether they pass or fail these tests, so please verify all health test results on the OFA website, www.offa.org

Other tests recommended by the HCA include testing for :

• OFA Elbows,
  

• Legg-Calve-Perthes,
  

• Cardiac
